Marvel’s new universe gives several Avengers a major visual overhaul. The Avengers’ main appeal is the concept of heroes with drastically different abilities and aesthetics coming together to confront the same threat. While Black Panther’s solo comics are usually very different in tone and lore to Thor’s and Captain America’s, they all fight side by side on equal ground when they fulfill their duty as Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. And even though heroes like the Scarlet Witch, Hulk, and Captain Marvel are powerful enough to render the rest of their teammates redundant in theory, every single Avenger fulfills an important role in the team.
